1st Round Prospects That Make A Ton Of Sense For The Eagles To Draft

Paris Johnson

This left tackle from Ohio State checks a ton of boxes for the Eagles. He’s an upgrade in the trenches and he has a ton of elite traits. Johnson can be a developmental tackle for Philadelphia, who can spend years learning from Jeff Stoutland before he ever even has to start a game. And if the Eagles want to plug and play him at guard for his rookie season, they absolutely can as Johnson played an entire season at RG with the Buckeyes.

Jalen Carter

Carter is the best player in this year’s draft, so he makes a ton of sense for every team—not just the Eagles. But I think what makes Carter a particularly good fit for the Eagles is Philadelphia’s group of veterans and leaders who can show him how to be a true professional. Additionally, two of Carter’s former teammates and friends, Nakobe Dean and Jordan Davis, are on the Eagles. If Carter comes to Philadelphia, he will have a fantastic support system around him.

Adetomiwa Adebawore

Tony Pauline is an NFL draft analyst who is absolutely in tune with the Philadelphia Eagles organization. Last year, he made the prediction that Cam Jurgens wouldn’t fall past Philly’s pick at 51, and he couldn’t have been more right. This year, he is pushing the agenda that Adetomiwa Adebawore could likely be picked by the Eagles. In his latest mock draft, Pauline wrote, “The Eagles compare Adetomiwa Adebawore to the aging Brandon Graham as a quick, explosive, and athletic edge rusher”. And on a recent episode of the Pro Football Network Football Insiders podcast, he said, “I’m told that Howie Roseman absolutely loves the guy”.
